Tony O'Grady

Tony O’Gady is based in Christchurch and has been painting and making sculptures for over 25 years. He creates pieces in stone, wood, clay, plaster, concrete and bronze.

Tony enjoys applying the sculptural ideas of mass, weight, balance and space to the human figure and always strives to create powerful, monumental, unique and uplifting pieces. His true passion lies in the tactile art of sculpting, particularly in the intricate craft of carving. 

Tony has featured in several solo and group exhibitions and he shares his expertise by instructing at stone sculpture workshops.
