Collection: Paul Brunton
Working primarily in eco sourced wood, recycled bronze and steel, Paul’s pieces often involve movement. As a maker he is continually evolving his craft, developing ideas, refining techniques, and taking satisfaction in turning raw material into not just something handmade but a piece of art.
Having trained in sculpture under Lyndon Smith, Paul’s depth of styles, subjects and techniques become apparent.
Paul's sculpture is guided by a deep connection with the flow of the elements inspired by his from his love of outdoor pursuits. His work is then refined by internal practices with an emphasis on fluid flowing technique over force that reflects the fluidity and duality of life.
Paul’s sculptures seek to express gratitude for nature's gift of the wood that provides a connection to our planet protectors, our native forests.
