Collection: Nathan Hull Sculpture
Nathan Hull is known for his unique and often large sculptures created from recycled metals, mostly stainless steel and copper but including engine parts, tools and other industrial detritus.
Nathan brings a history of engineering and welding qualifications to his artistic inspiration which is, often found in nature. The past 20 years have seen some incredible life-size sculptures brought to life - from a bison, a unicorn and even a 6m Haast eagle. Each piece evokes strength and stability while developing their own unique personalities.
In the earlier years of his career, Nathan competed in and won 1st place and People’s Choice in many art competitions including Fieldays, the NZ Home Show, No8 Wire Awards and and even won even winning the Avantgarde section at World of Wearable Art (WOW).
Recently finding purpose in his self reflection and growth journey, more time is utilised combining new style techniques and engineering processes, now creating sculptures that hold a story.
