Collection: Matthew Buscke
What’s Matt Making is the creative name of Matthew Buscke, a New Zealand-based metal artist, mechanical engineer and proud little person. Drawing from his background in fabrication and hands-on problem-solving, Matt creates sculptural works that play with structure, movement and meaning, often transforming tough industrial materials into pieces with subtle balance and playful intent.
Matt’s journey into the art world is just beginning. His debut sculpture 'Steelogami', a welded steel tribute to the precision of origami, is the first piece he’s exhibited and offered for sale. With it, he invites viewers into his creative process - raw, curious and full of potential.
As a disabled artist, Matt is carving his own space in the world of sculpture. He’s not chasing perfection; he’s building a life, one piece at a time to see what’s possible when skill meets passion. The question is always the same: What’s Matt Making? And the answer keeps evolving.
