Collection: Libby Morrison
Libby is originally from Auckland. Her paintings primarily explore human experiences through the lens of the 'joy scale'- a measuring scale Libby devised through her honours studies at Massey University BFA(Hons), into happiness inequalities.
She also has a developed sculpture practice, working with industrial materials to create interactive works that are responsive to their installation and audience, able to be manipulated and painted. These dual practices work alongside each other to unpack what it is to be joyous, to feel, love and cry intensely.
Her work has been shown at 113 Taranaki and Rice Pudding Gallery.
