Collection: Kristin Kay

Originally from the North Shore of Auckland, Kristin has, throughout life, always been involved with the arts. Eventually moving up to Whangarei in early 2000s, she completed a degree in visual arts specialising in ceramics and helped run a local arts centre for 6 years.  

From her move north, she has been in over 60 exhibitions as far as Italy and has had success in multiple sculpture shows including local council permanent displays, Portage, Art in the Park and National Potters Shows to date. 

Kristin has always used ceramics as her medium and enjoys challenging herself with unique and new pieces as well as challenging her audience with her often-unusual pieces, often evoking uncomfortable inner thoughts and emotions in the faces and movements of her work.
