Collection: Kay Ogilvie
Kay first felt the magic of clay when pottery was taught at the design course she was attending at Polytech, over 30 years ago. She was immediately enchanted by the feel of clay, the way it responded to every touch, the heat and noise of the kiln being fired, the buckets of sludgy glaze that would transform (usually) into beautiful colours. She is still as enchanted today.
Her studio is part of her clifftop home that overlooks the Hauraki Gulf. She is completely happy sitting in such a beautiful place and creating work that she really likes.
