Jorge Wright

Born in 1997 and raised in a creative household in Clevedon, Jorge grew up surrounded by native bush and artistic influence. After studying Design at Massey University and spending time in the building industry, they discovered a passion for sculpture that combines craftsmanship with expressive form.  

Working primarily with Corten steel, Jorge's work draws inspiration from nature and a drive for true artistic expression. Their sculptures often explore organic forms and the relationship between structure and space.  

Exhibiting is a central part of Jorge's practice. A career highlight was Sculpture on the Gulf 2022, where they received the People’s Choice Award. Their work continues to evolve through a hands-on, intuitive process that invites viewers to connect and reflect.
