Collection: Joachim Kreitmair
Joa-Chim aka Joachim Kreitmair, born 1960 near Munich began making sculptures in the mid-1970s.
He draws his inspiration from the magic that is life, its infinite beauty and variety.
In order to translate this into abstract forms he is open to employ any number of materials and predominantly works in steel, corten, stainless steel, copper, bronze and stone.
In line with the source for his inspiration, Joachim always aims to provide an uplifting and exciting experience through the physical and emotional presence of his work.
Joachim has contributed to many major shows since 1997, including the Norsewear Art Award, Saatchi Art, Northlands Finest and Sculpture OnShore. In 2013 he was a finalist for the Northland Art Award.
Joachim’s work is held in private collections throughout New Zealand, as well as overseas and has featured in numerous publications such as NZ House and Garden.
