Jin Ling

Jin was born in 1958 in Henan province, China. She has a degree in fine arts from Guangzhou University where she majored in sculpture. She lectured in art and design for 11 years at Suzhou University and undertook large scale sculptural work for Suzhou city authorities.  

Jin came to New Zealand 1997 and began working as a sculptor in clay and has since exhibited in New Zealand and Australia. She now works from her studio in Glenbervie Northland. Exhibitions include: Gold Coast international Art Awards Australia, (1998, 2000). Annual Spring exhibition of Art Invercargill (2000), Guest Artist. Art out There Waiheke, (2007 2008 2009 2010). Shapeshifter, Lower Hutt (2008, 2010, 2012.) Kaipara Coast Sculpture Garden,(2010, 2012, 2014) NZ Sculpture OnShore from 1998 to present.
