For the last 24 years, Jamie has made a full-time living through exhibiting in outdoor sculpture shows and creating commissioned works, both private and public. These commissions range from sculpture, to furniture,to architectural hardware.
He believes having a wide skill base and a can do attitude is what's kept him afloat all these years. This skill base covers working with wood, stone and metal. In fact he's one of the few contemporary artist blacksmiths working in NZ today.
Jamie lives on a lifestyle block just out of Rotorua with his studio on the property and feels lucky to have been able to follow his creative passions.
