Collection: Inga Fillary

Inga transforms domestic objects by casting them in waste materials. She uses familiar objects specifically for the sense of unease they can evoke as their forms give way to material and formlessness.

Inga lives and works in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. She holds a Master of Fine Arts with First Class Honours and is a Doctoral Candidate, Graduate Teaching Assistant and Technician at Te Waka Tūhura, Elam School of Fine Arts, Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland.

Recent shows include 'Uncertain Objects at Project Space, 2025, 'Onepū, Shifting Sands' at Franklin Arts Centre, 2025, 'The Confessions' Scott Lawrie off-site exhibition at the Silo Gallery, 2024, 'Large Rust Works', Precinct Properties, in association with Warren and Mahoney Architects, 2024, 'Suburbia' Presented by mothermother, Northart, 2023, 'Matermater' Silo Gallery, Auckland 2022.
