Collection: Geoff Rankin

Geoff's had an inner drive to create art from as long as he can remember, drawing and painting from an early age. His first exhibition was in his mid-teens.

In the early sixties while at art school, Geoff found the third dimension. This has held his attention ever since searching for pure form, clean lines, perfect curves with no embellishment. Geoff's early works were mainly metal. In recent years he starts with large lumps of obsidian or kiln glass then cold carves them into desired shapes before polishing them. Each work is a one off but has a relationship to others.

Geoff's sculptures are in collections in the USA, Australia, Germany, United Kingdom and Japan.
