Collection: Catherine Thomson

Catherine Thomson is a Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland based artist, tutor and art facilitator. Having studied at Elam School of Fine Arts, she has works held in the Arts House Trust and Durham University (UK) art collections and has also been a Parkin Drawing Award finalist.   

Catherine’s process-based art practice is based around drawing, collage and sculpture. She explores themes of the body, identity and memory in her work, often using discarded objects as points of departure.
