Collection: Brianna Parkinson
Brianna is an artist based in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, primarily working with ceramics, various forms of weaving and sculpture. Her site-specific installations bringing together found objects, ceramics and photography, using trace, imprints and etching to reveal narratives and histories that are overlooked or forgotten.
Brianna’s process of making combines an intuitive response to the site with research. Her works invite the audience to consider the poetic qualities of the everyday materials, and their own connection with nature and place.
Brianna was awarded a Certificate in Fine Arts from Massey University (Wellington) in 2022 and is in her final year of study for a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Elam School of Fine Arts. She has exhibited her photography in a group exhibition at Thistle Hall in Wellington in 2024 and has participated in three group shows at Elam Project Space.
