Collection: Andrew Leary
Andrew Leary is a kaleidoscope artist with more than 40 years' experience.
With his wife, Robyn, he started making small hand-held kaleidoscopes 25 years ago after he became interested in using aspects of the natural world in his kaleidoscopes.
These have included bubbles and water features, and in the case of The Loves of Antheia, growing plants, be they succulents, flowers or herbs and vegetables.
The idea of a kaleidoscopic installation being outside was also very appealing. Andrew has been commissioned to create large kaleidoscopes, two of which are located in school environments, and having children planting and maintaining the garden is very rewarding. The 6 differently configured kaleidoscopes around the structure show that kaleidoscopic images can come in an almost unlimited style.
