What inspires your art practice?

Corten steel, ceramics, copper, upcycled road signs, aluminium, stainless steel
Describe your artwork for NZ Sculpture OnShore 2021
With my work Inner Strength I was inspired by the meaning behind the Snapdragon flower. The snapdragon flower symbolises grace under pressure or inner strength in trying circumstances. It depicts the strength and potential that we possess as individuals.
Known to grow in areas that are not very convenient for any plant to survive, the snapdragon flower’s ability to fight and overcome every challenge is a great quality and it is passing across a message that we need to stay strong.
Where are the public most likely to see your artworks outside of NZSOS?
I am the owner of the Art Industry gallery in Clevedon Village, so my work is always in our gallery.
