What inspires your art practice?
Inspiration is all around me. I love exploring how my senses - sight, sound, smell, touch and taste - are encouraged and engaged by what they are exposed to. Being of Māori, Chinese, Scottish and Danish descent, I connect these cultures through what I create. Art is my therapy, a journey of self-discovery, pushing the boundaries of what is known and what there is to learn. Our unique flora and fauna is very much part of my artistic expression and the undying love of Aotearoa is celebrated through my work. I feel truly blessed and fortunate to be able to do what I love and share it with others.
What materials do you work in?
I like to explore many different materials and see what the limitations are. It is all part of the excitement of being an artist. I will work with anything once!
