Artist Registration Terms & Conditions

Selection and Placement of Work

The curator’s decision will be final on locations for all selected works based on the nature of the art works, site suitability, the overall exhibition design, and due consideration of public safety and care for the environment.

By submitting a proposal for the exhibition the artist is granting NZSoS the right to reproduce images of the finished artwork for the exhibition catalogue, publicity, TV, advertising, website, documentary, promotional video, exhibition or archival purposes in any manner connected with the exhibition or its sponsors.

Multi Media

All visual and audio equipment is the responsibility of the artist to procure, install and maintain in working order for the duration of the event.

Transportation of the Work

Transportation of the selected works to the site and removal of unsold works will be the artist’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed. Removal of sold works is the responsibility of the buyer.

Installation of the selected work is the artist’s responsibility. NZSoS Installation Manager will provide advice on installation requirements. There will be access to onsite tools and machinery the use of which will be charged on a case by case basis.

Quality of Craftsmanship

Works must be constructed using suitably high quality materials and craftsmanship so as to withstand the severe environmental conditions of the exposed Takapuna clifftop site and to provide longevity for the purchaser.

Security and Insurance

The site will be fully fenced and monitored 24 hours/day by a professional security firm. Public liability insurance will be provided but further insurance of the work is the artist’s responsibility.

Commission on Sales

All work exhibited will be for sale and the NZSoS commission rate on sales will be 35% including GST if the artist is GST registered. Commissions of work and sales generated by introductions at NZSoS will attract the same 35% commission. All proceeds from the sale of artwork go to NZ Women’s Refuge.

Indoor Gallery

Artists are encouraged to propose smaller works, Maquettes and editions for the indoor on-site sculpture gallery.

Personal Details

For privacy reasons NZSoS will not give out artist’s details to the public, we will however collect their details and pass them on to you.

Ownership of the works belongs with the artist until they are paid for. Payment for sold work will be 20th of month following the closure of the exhibition.
